Founder

DDR Dental Trust began in the late 1970’s and was formed as a support organization to dentists around Texas. Over its 30 year history, the Dental Trust has assisted over 1,100 dental practices with practice continuation and practice transition (including associate placement and practice sale).

Pentegra Dental Group, Inc. (Healthcare)
Vice President, Chief Development Officer – Acquisitions (1998 to 2000)

• Member of a road-show team that successfully consummated an IPO and simultaneous merger of fifty businesses in unique rollup transaction.
• Led the corporate development group that was responsible for external growth by acquisition including the identification, valuation, negotiation and closing of over 101 dental practices with individual revenues between $1mm and $5mm
• Grew the company to over $75mm in gross practice revenue.
• Crafted valuation models yielding accretive acquisitions that used a mixture of cash common stock, and notes as consideration as market conditions changed.

L. Dunn & Associates, P.C., Houston, TX 1987 – 1997
President & Principal Shareholder

• Represented dentists in the valuation and sale of dental practices across Texas.
• Prosecuted commercial and consumer lawsuits on behalf of corporations and individuals obtaining awards from $10,000 to $1 Million.
• Unique UCC and secured transactional experience from enforcement of security interests and judgments as well as representation of creditors  and debtors in Federal Bankruptcy courts.
• General ERISA practice drafting, submitting, and obtaining approval of 401(k), profit sharing, and Employee Stock Ownership Plans.
• Assisted large estate clients with net assets between $3 and $20 Million. Drafted and implemented tax planned wills and trusts to provide tax and non-tax benefits.
